To a high degree, it much depends on how we parents first determine and then decide to raise our kids. It depends on which set of values and principles we teach them and expose them to. It depends on what kind of experiences we would accept for them to run into throughout those critically formative years they stay with us, and certainly not the least important is how we convey and express our love.
All these are only few of all conditions that greatly affect a brand new human being at the very moment he or she arrives to this world, and to our lives.
It is up to us parents to become fully aware that any kid is just like a big and fat book. It has several thousands of blank pages. Every day, a blank page is written with that day's experiences. Once written, pages cannot be erased; and altogether govern and determine the human qualities that new person will have when becoming an adult. Our children are not ours. They only come through us, but they belong to life. Our job is to prepare them for it.This view is not about counseling parents. It is not about providing advice. It is about situations, conditions, states, and issues that directly or indirectly affect and influence, shape and sculpt, and often times concern or disturb kids. It has power to lead them into the right path or sway them otherwise depending on how well we do our job. This view is for parents who know that the arrival of a new being is a joyful event, but what starts immediately after such a triumph of life is the foundation that determines who that being will be as a person; and what kind of human qualities he or she will exhibit.
